DJI Terra to your client

For DJI Terra 5.x: LiDAR (Zenmuse L1, L2, L3) and 2D mapping. Set these before processing and the upload is smaller and the conversion faster.

1. Settings before you process

Coordinate systemClick the coordinate system in the bottom-left corner and pick your projected grid (for example a Lo or UTM zone), not "Arbitrary". It's written into the files and used for the client's map.
2D map resolutionHigh (native) or Auto. A finer custom value doesn't add detail.
Map tilingOff, so you get one result.tif instead of a tiles folder.
Point cloud formatLAZ (compressed, typically 5 to 10 times smaller than LAS). LAS works too, just slower to upload.
Merged outputOn, so the point cloud comes out as one file rather than blocks. (Terra only offers merging for LAS, PLY and PCD. If you want LAZ, check the block settings so you get as few files as possible, or upload the merged LAS.)
Point densityThe 10 cm default sample distance is plenty for most topographic work. Denser clouds work, but take longer to upload.
Optimize accuracyOn (removes layering between flight strips).
Ground classification, DEM, contoursTurn on under More Outputs if you deliver them. Contours as SHP or DXF.

2. Find the results

On the reconstruction page press Ctrl + Alt + F, or use Open folder on the task in the mission list. By default projects are under Documents\DJI\DJI Terra\<your DJI account>\<mission>\.

Upload the highlighted files. For a shapefile, zip the .shp, .shx, .dbf and .prj together.

3. Upload

Drag the files into a delivery in your console. The aerial image and elevation model become map layers, the point cloud appears in the 3D view, and contours are drawn on the map with their heights. Everything you upload is also offered to your client as a download, unless you untick it. The delivery guide covers the rest.
